UniSIM-STU Sponsorship
Committed to the promotion of lifelong learning, SIM University (UniSIM) offers a variety of sponsorships to new as well as existing students pursuing their studies in UniSIM.

UniSIM-STU Sponsorship scheme aims to provide suitable candidates with the opportunity to undertake programmes with UniSIM and develop skills for life.

Who is Eligible?
Application for the UniSIM-STU Sponsorship is open to all Singapore Teachers’ Union members.  You should be a Singapore citizen or permanent resident with impressive academic and co-curricular activites records, strong language skills, and demonstrable leadership qualities.  You must also not already be a degree holder.

Applicants must meet the admission requirements for the applied course of study at UniSIM. They must separately seek admission to the programme and must be accepted for admission before being awarded the sponsorship.

Tenure of Sponsorship
The sponsorship is awarded for the period required to complete the full course of study, as stipulated by the programme.  The sponsorship is only awarded for undergraduate programmes.

Value of Sponsorship
The value of the sponsorship is as follows:

1. Singapore Citizens who are eligible for government subsidy - award will cover up to 70% of the total course fee (inclusive of government subsidy).
2. Singapore Permanent Residents who are eligible for government subsidy - award will cover up to 60% of the total course fee (inclusive of government subsidy).
3. Students who are not eligible for government subsidy - award will cover up to 50% of the total course fee.

There is no bond attached to the sponsorship.

How to Apply?
Application for sponsorship for January 2011 Semester commences on 18 August 2010.

To apply for the UniSIM-STU Sponsorship, you need to complete and submit the application form to STU by the stipulated closing date.  You can obtain a copy of the application form and a list of terms and conditions here.

Closing date for application is 30 September 2010.

Previous unsuccessful candidates need not re-apply.  Successful candidates would be notified by mid November 2010.
