Graduate, BA in English Language and Literature
Co-Curricular Programme Executive, Temasek Junior College
2008

Gregory is the Co-Curricular Programme Executive (CCPE) at Temasek Junior College.

With his 'O' level qualification; he worked as a Chief Security Officer at the former OMNI Marco Polo Hotel before quitting his job at the age of 33 to do his 'A' level as a full-time student at Our Lady of Lourdes School (1994 to 1995). He obtained 3 Bs & 1 AO pass in one sitting.

Gregory’s life-long dream was to be a teacher. To fulfil his dream, he enrolled in the SIM-Open University degree programme which was recognised by the Ministry of Education for teachers who wanted to upgrade themselves.

While in the degree programme, he also took History at ‘O' level which was compulsory for would-be teachers.

Gregory graduated in 2007 from UniSIM with a degree in English Language and Literature awarded by the Open University UK.

“I liked the programme offered by UniSIM as the curriculum structure and content were excellent and up-to-date. Its flexibility in accommodating the schedules of adult students was also a plus. In 2001, my wife was having difficulties with her pregnancy and fighting for her life and our child's life at KK Women's and Children's Hospital. It was a very difficult time as I was also preparing for my assignments and exams, and studying at my wife’s bedside.  We lost our seven-month-old unborn child eventually. UniSIM was very understanding and allowed me to defer my assignments. The University also offered me an affordable and flexible instalment plan when I had difficulties paying my fees the following year.”
